glassybaby Plans to Light I-90 Bridge and Donate Almost $80k to Local Non-Profits

Seattle’s one-of-a-kind hand-blown glass artisans glassybaby reached another milestone: $5 million in glassybaby white light fund giving. And to celebrate, they’re conducting their annual light the bridge event on Thurs., Sept. 22. This year, they’re giving local non-profits the chance to rally a team with the chance at winning a portion of $80,000, with the top donation prize being $55,555.

From donating more than $25,000 to support those in the midst of the 2015 Chelan Valley wildfires to providing transportation to treatment for more than 460 cancer patients, the glassybaby white light fund has helped provide hope and healing in the Pacific Northwest.

To participate in light the bridge, non-profits are encouraged to register at lightthebridge.brownpapertickets.com and designate which charity they want to receive their support. At the event, each person registered will pick up their special edition glassybaby and walk to the bridge for a community event, pictures, and more.

“The impact that our giving partners have been able to make over the years is astounding. We're honored to be able to work with them, and excited to celebrate the $5M giving milestone with them at the light the bridge event.” said CEO Bill Cummings.
