Holiday deal to adopt pets at Multnomah County shelter

TROUTDALE, Ore. – Multnomah County Animal Services is putting on its “Days of December” promotion with the hopes of sending many animals home with loving owners during the holiday season.

For the fourth year in a row, adoption fees at the shelter will equal the day of the month from Dec. 1 to Dec. 31. For example, if you adopt an animal on Dec. 5, the adoption fee will be $5. The deal applies for animals six months and older.

The adoption fee does not include the cost for licensing the pet for Multnomah County residents.

All applicants will go through the regular adoption process to make sure potential owners and pets are good matches.

Multnomah County Animal Services is located at 1700 Columbia River Highway in Troutdale. They are open from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The shelter is closed on Wednesdays.
