9 things to add to your Spokane fall bucket list

SPOKANE, Wash. --- Pumpkin spice lattes are back, the weather is getting colder, and it is just about time to celebrate fall.

There is a lot to do in Spokane to celebrate the festive season, so add some of these local events and pumpkin patches to your fall bucket list.


Beck’s Harvest House - 9919 Green Bluff Road Colbert, WA 99005

You cannot celebrate fall without pumpkin-flavored food, so how about trying some delicious pumpkin flavored donuts. Beck’s Harvest House is open daily from 9-6 p.m.


Walter’s Fruit Ranch - 9807 East Day Road, Mead WA 99021

On the subject of food, caramel apples are another fall classic. Walter’s Fruit Ranch has a spin on the fall favorite, and has fresh apple sauce with caramel. That still counts as a caramel apple right?

If you are interested in sticking with the classic caramel apple, you can pick your own apples at the ranch instead.


Apple Festival – Green Bluff, Mead

Green Bluff Growers is hosting an Apple Festival every weekend until October 30th. There will be lots of apple cider, live music, corn, craft booths and lots more. It is a perfect event to get the whole family excited for fall.

For your pumpkin carving needs, head over to Green Bluff in October. You will find lots of farms with pumpkin patches and corn mazes to enjoy.


Finch Arboretum - West 3404 Woodlawn Blvd, Spokane

The Finch Arboretum is a 65 acre forest. In the fall time, it is the perfect place to walk around and enjoy the wonderland of fall colored leaves.


Boots Bakery and Lounge – 24 W. Main Ave., Spokane

Still need another pumpkin fix? Boots Bakery and Lounge has pumpkin spice waffles. This is the perfect place for a fall morning breakfast.


Spokane Farmers’ Market - 20 W. 5th Ave Spokane, WA  (Between Division and Browne)

Pack up the BBQ and get ready for homemade soup. Head over to the Spokane Farmers Market to stock up on fresh vegetables and squash.


College football games – Spokane/ Pullman/Idaho

Fall is not complete without going to a couple of college football games. There are lots of teams in the area, like Washington State University in Pullman, Whitworth University in Spokane, Eastern Washington University in Cheney and University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. No matter what game you end up at, you will be in for a good time.

Manito Park is another great place where you can get out in nature and enjoy the fall scenery. Make sure you bring hot chocolate or another favorite seasonal drink with you, so you can stay warm.
