ELKO, Nevada -- The Nevada Highway Patrol has canceled an Amber Alert for two children who were taken by their non-custodial parents from Elko, Nevada.

Police recovered the children in Sacramento, California, where police believed they were headed.

At the time the alert was issued, police believe the children were in danger of serious bodily injury or even death.

The two children were 9-year-old Lillyanna Ramires and 3-year-old Martin Angel Rosales, Lillyanna's younger brother. Before police issued an alert, they had not been seen for two days.

They were believed to be with their non-custodial parents, Martin Cisneras Rosales, also known as Martin Cisneros and 30-year-old Amber Schenck.

The Amber Alert was canceled Saturday morning at just before 2 a.m.
