NAMPA -- An early morning crash sent three people to the hospital, Idaho State Police said.

The crash happened at about 6:45 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highway 55 and Midway Road.

Police say a 2011 Dodge Challenger, driven by 49-year-old Michael Attiani, was headed north on Midway Road. Attiani slowed for the intersection with Highway 55, and then tried to cross the highway. The car was then hit by an F-350 pickup driving east. Police say the Attiani's Challenger went into the parking lot of a Jackson's Food Store and crashed into a parked pickup.

Attiani and a juvenile passenger were taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The driver of the F-350, 32-year-old Seferino Villa-Guzman, was taken to Saint Alphonsus in Nampa. The extent of injuries is not yet known.

Everyone involved was wearing seatbelts, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
