GRANGEVILLE, Idaho -- Three teenagers died when pickup truck crashed early Saturday morning, a couple miles south of Grangeville, according to Idaho State Police.

Police said 17-year-old James McColloch was driving north on Grangeville-Salmon Road when he lost control of his 2003 Ford F250 pickup on a curve. He swerved off one side of the road and corrected to the other side. The truck went off the other side of the road and hit a tree. The pickup caught fire and was fully engulfed in flames.

McColloch and two passengers died at the scene.

The passengers have been identified as Justin Dempsey, 18, and Lelah Layman, 17.

It is unknown after anyone in the truck was wearing a seatbelt. Police are still investigating.
