BOISE -- The public comment period is now open for the Gateway West power project -- a transmission line that would run across southern Idaho from Wyoming.
The BLM recently issued its final environmental impact statement on the project and has scheduled several public meetings around Idaho.
The first meeting will take place Monday at the Boise Hotel and Conference Center on Vista Avenue.
Other meetings are happening later in the week in Kuna, Murphy and Melba. All of the meetings run from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
