BOISE -- It's going to windy throughout much of southern and eastern Idaho Monday afternoon.

Really windy.

The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a wind advisory from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Locally affected areas include:

  • The Treasure Valley
  • Owyhee Mountains
  • Twin Falls County
  • Baker City, Oregon area

The NWS forecast calls for winds from 25 to 40 mph, with gusts to 50 mph. Forecasters say strong winds can be hazardous for high-profile vehicles, and make travel difficult.
