MOUNTAIN HOME -- Authorities say the suspect in a weekend grocery store burglary and arson case has surrendered to police.

Mountain Home Police Sergeant Frank Viola says 25-year-old James Greenfield from Mountain Home was arrested Sunday night. Viola said Greenfield called the police department shortly after 6 p.m. and made arrangements to turn himself in.

Mountain Home Police and Fire Departments were called to Paul's Market on the corner of South 2nd East and East Jackson just before 2 a.m. Sunday. That's when an employee reported that glass in the entrance had been broken out.

When officers arrived they found smoke coming from the inside of the building. Firefighters were able to put out the flames.

Police say Greenfield admitted to being drunk during the incident when questioned after his arrest.

He faces a number of serious charges, including burglary, arson, and malicious damage to property.
