BOISE -- With the help of Les Schwab, the Idaho Foodbank is closer to its goal of 7,200 turkeys, hams or roasts for the Christmas holiday.
The Foodbank told Les Schwab it was running low on donations this year, so the tire company stepped up and collected 146 turkeys. Today, a caravan of employees dropped them off.
Les Schwab has collected donations as part of the Foodbank's Hope for the Holidays program for several years.
"We're very supportive of the program," said Wayne Castle, Downtown Boise Les Schwab. "We do see the need out there for food. especially here in the last couple years, the economy's been a little tougher. We see it every day, and we just want to make sure that plenty of people have something to eat this year."
If you want to donate there's still time. The Foodbank's Hope for the Holidays program continues through December 21st.
