BOISE -- Power has been restored to a wide swath of west Boise after a semi crashed and damaged a transformer just before 1 p.m. Friday.
The crash knocked out power for about 50 businesses in west Boise at approximately 12:41 p.m., according to Idaho Power officials.
Brad Bowlin with Idaho Power says the power outage affected a stretch of west Boise from Emerald Street to I-84 (North to South), and from Milwaukee Street to 5 Mile Road, (East to West) including parts of Franklin Road.
Crews restored power at approximately 2:15 p.m. Friday.
