BOISE -- Several things are happening tonight at the Boise City Council meeting.
In mid-November the council held a packed public hearing on an ordinance that would ban discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, when it comes to employment, housing and public accommodation.
The council votes tonight, but does not plan to take any more testimony.
The council will also vote on whether to make the 30th Street area west of downtown an urban renewal district.
The Capital City Development Corporation would get a portion of tax money to help revitalize and build up empty lots.
The council will hold a first reading on whether to revise the open container law to allow "cycle pubs" or "bike bars" the same rights as limousines when it comes to serving beer and wine in public areas.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Idaho Statehouse auditorium.
