IDAHO FALLS -- Three former Blackfoot High School students who faced felony charges involving a reported hazing incident that were later dropped have filed a lawsuit against Blackfoot School District 55, Bingham County and the city of Blackfoot.

The Post Register reports that Logan Chidester, Nathan Walker and Tyson Katseanes filed the complaint Friday in 7th District Court.

Also named in the lawsuit are Bingham County Prosecutor Scott Andrew, Bingham County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Randy Smith and several police officials.

The three former students were initially charged with felonies after reports of hazing incidents during the 2009-2010 basketball season, but the felony charges were dismissed when one witness refused to participate in the case.

The former players are seeking court costs and other fees the court deems justified.
