SUN VALLEY -- Schussing the slopes of Sun Valley's Bald Mountain will require more cold cash this year, as lift tickets have risen to as much as $99.
The Idaho Mountain Express reports a day of snowboarding or skiing between Dec. 22 and Jan. 1 has risen to just shy of $100, up from $95 last year.
That's the most expensive peak-season ticket in Idaho, though it does buy 3,400 vertical feet, at the first U.S. destination resort.
By comparison, Schweitzer Mountain in Sandpoint runs $68, while Bogus Basin Mountain Resort above Boise will cost $48 for adults.
At Brundage Mountain in McCall, day passes run $57, while nearby Tamarack Resort in Donnelly is $49.
And holiday pricing at Silver Mountain in Kellogg along U.S. Interstate 90 in northern Idaho will run $55.
