BOISE -- The Utah State Aggies have accepted an invitation to play in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl for the second straight year, the bowl announced Saturday.
The WAC champs are coming off an impressive regular season where they went 10-2.
The bowl game, which takes place on Saturday, Dec. 15 in Bronco Stadium, will also feature a team from the Mid-American Conference.
Utah State clinched the Western Athletic Conference championship in dramatic fashion with a 48-41 overtime win over No. 19 Louisiana Tech last Saturday.
The Aggies beat the Idaho Vandals this Saturday, securing its winningest season in school history.
“We’re thrilled to accept the invitation to play in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl for the second year in a row,” said Scott Barnes, Utah State’s Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. “The bowl is a great opportunity for our team to play in a great postseason game and the proximity couldn’t be better for our fans.”
The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl is the second game of the bowl calendar and the only one in its timeslot. The Bowl will be telecast nationally on ESPN and broadcast on ESPN Radio.
