BOISE -- Employees with Micron Technology are making sure families struggling to put food on the table will have a hot meal for Thanksgiving.
With the help of some young volunteers, 700 turkeys and 600 hams were brought to the Idaho Foodbank warehouse.
Each year, the company gives Micron employees a ham or turkey, and many choose to donate their gifts to the Foodbank.
In addition, the Micron Foundation will donate $5,000 to the Foodbank.
"This is the time of year where we really want to be able to support those traditions families have, and when they're struggling during tight economic times they might choose to skip that, and this helps them still have those traditions and enjoy that holiday meal with their families," said Karen Vauk with the Idaho Foodbank.
The Idaho Foodbank set a goal to bring in 11,000 turkeys.
Right now, they are short of that goal, but you still have time to donate.
