BOISE -- Job seekers were out in full force today trying to impress T-Mobile.
The cell phone provider wants to hire people to work in its customer service call center in Meridian.
T-Mobile needs to hire 135 customer service representatives before spring.
Currently, 55,000 Idahoans are unemployed and looking for work. So people are competing for these openings, including David Weld. He lost his construction job a few weeks ago.
"I'm just looking for a job right now. Like I said I just got laid off, so I'm just looking or work," said Weld.
If you want to stand out from the crowd, Darren Rux with the Department of Labor says it's important to dress to impress, bring a current resume and be ready to meet with your future boss.
The job fair runs until 3 p.m. at the Idaho Department of Labor office at 317 W. Main Street in downtown Boise.
T-Mobile is looking for high school graduates who have at least a year of customer service experience.
The jobs start at between $11.07 and $13.17 an hour.
