BOISE -- Police in Idaho played an important role in helping prosecute an Illinois man who pleaded guilty this week to three counts of production of child pornography and another count of transportation of child pornography.
The Belleville News-Democrat reports that 43-year-old Andrew Gerald Millas faces 15 to 30 years in prison when he's sentenced in federal court on Jan. 14.
Last December, detectives from the Boise Police Department communicated with Millas via online chats, after they became concerned that he was offering child pornography for sale.
Authorities say Millas sent undercover officers in Idaho still images of child pornography he had manufactured and also broadcast a live sex act with a minor to them via a web camera.
Boise Police referred the case to Illinois law enforcement agents who arrested Millas.
