CALDWELL -- A Canyon County Sheriff's deputy was taken to the hospital this morning after being involved in a two-vehicle crash.
It happened around 9 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Ustick and Weitz roads in Caldwell.
Lt. Donia Ballard with the Canyon County Sheriff's Office says there is a stop sign on Weitz Road at that intersection. She said the semi struck the driver's side rear panel of the patrol car.
At the request of Canyon County, the Idaho State Police responded to the crash.
The male deputy was taken to West Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.
The male driver of the semi truck had minor injuries and was not taken the hospital.
ISP is investigating.
