This weekend marks your last chance to fish for Chinook salmon on the Lower Salmon River and the Little Salmon River.
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game reports that the season will close Sunday, July 15, an hour after sunset.
Fish and Game said that the collection of broodstock at the Rapid River hatchery is behind schedule.
In order to increase the chances of collecting enough broodstock for full production at Rapid River Hatchery, fishery managers decided to close down the fishery early.
For more on where you can still fish for Chinook, you can visit the Idaho Fish and Game website.
