BOISE -- Wind gusts moved through the Treasure Valley Sunday night, knocking down trees and power lines and, along with it, electricity to about 3.500 Idaho Power customers.

One cracked tree off North 36th Street in Boise was posing a threat to a homeowner. Right next door, another tree came crashing down during the wind storm.

Crews were standing by, waiting for the tree's safe removal.

Idaho Power says most of the weekend's outages were from downtown to Glenwood Street in Boise as well as some in Meridian and Eagle. Power was restored to the most of these customers by midnight Sunday.

Several people in the north end are picking up branches and working to clean up the mess Monday.
