KETCHUM, Idaho -- A Bellevue man has pleaded not guilty to charges filed in the June 2 death of a Ketchum man who was knocked off a cliff on the north side of Magic Reservoir.
The Idaho Mountain Express reports 19-year-old Steven Tyler Jameson pleaded not guilty Monday to felony vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury or death.
At the time, investigators said 26-year-old Stephen Ray Franco was guiding Jameson as he backed up near a cliff. Blaine County Sheriff Gene Ramsey said Jameson hit the gas instead of the brake and the Jeep hit Franco, knocking him over the edge.
Jameson remains jailed on $250,000 bail.
District Judge Robert J. Elgee scheduled a trial to start on Oct. 16.
