BOISE -- Boise police are searching for a man who tried robbing a woman at gunpoint as she used an outdoor ATM.
The incident happened in a parking lot near the Ross store on Federal Way.
The woman was using the ATM at the Bank of America when another car pulled up.
Police say a man got out of the passenger side of that vehicle and pulled out a long gun -- possibly a rifle or shotgun.
The man demanded money but the woman at the ATM didn't have any.
That's when the man got back into the car and quickly left, empty handed.
Police are looking for a man with a dark complexion, about six feet tall and a slim build.
The suspect left in a blue or green car heading east on Federal Way.
Another man was driving the car, but officers say they do not have a description of that suspect.
Police are now working on getting video of the incident from the surveillance cameras perched outside the bank.
Officers tell KTVB that this type of crime is "uncommon," but caution people to try to do banking during the daylight hours.
