BOISE -- Boise Police are asking for the public's help in locating the people responsible for an early morning vandalism spree in a southwest Boise neighborhood.
Police say the vandals struck between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m. Monday.
They used red and silver spray paint to put curse words and rude phrases on vehicles, mailboxes, houses, trailers and street signs on West Mossy Cup and West Chinkapin Avenue, near West Victory Road between Maple Grove and Five Mile roads.
At least 20 homes and more than a dozen vehicles were painted on by the vandals.
"This is one of the worst cases of malicious vandalism that I have ever seen. This is a serious crime and we need to hold the person or people who did this accountable for their actions," said Boise Police Officer Lance Nickerson.
Police are asking anyone with information or saw anything out of the ordinary in that area last night to call them at 377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
Caller can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if your information leads to arrests and felony charges.
