TWIN FALLS -- Two Coeur d'Alene teens died early Sunday after their car missed a curve and went off a county road near Twin Falls.

The crash killed Devon Austin, 19, a freshman baseball player at the College of Southern Idaho and Ryan Reinhardt, 18. Both graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 2010.

A third Coeur d'Alene resident, 19-year-old Jessica Duran, suffered minor injuries in the crash. She was treated and released from St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.

The crash happened after 1 a.m. Sunday when their car went off Clover Road, near U.S. Highway 30.

According to the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, the trio may have been involved in an altercation with others at a party that night. Deputies say they were chased in another vehicle by several people from the party, and soon after Reinhardt rolled the 1998 Toyota Camry several times.

Deputies say excessive speed and alcohol are believed to be factors.

Austin was named Idaho's Gatorade baseball player of the year last season and initially signed with New Mexico State.

The Chicago Cubs drafted him in the 45th round of June's Major League Baseball amateur draft.

The Times-News reports he decided to go to junior college to increase his draft stock over the next two years.
