HAYDEN, Idaho -- The Coeur d'Alene Press reports the suspect in Tuesday's fatal shooting in Hayden, Idaho has been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to the report, the body of Chad Moore was found in the Hayden Creek area at about 8:30 Wednesday morning, about 100 yards from his burned-out pickup.
Kootenai County Sheriff's Deputies say Moore, 35, shot Ryan William Taylor, 28, in Building C at the Lakeview Village Apartments at 10102 Government Way around 2:50 p.m. Taylor was taken to Kootenai Medical Center where he later died.
A few hours later, SWAT teams swarmed the woods a few miles east of the apartment complex. The Spokane Sheriff's Office helicopter searched from the air.
Deputies say Moore fled in a blue Toyota pickup truck with a white stripe, Idaho license plate K433586. They also say Moore is very well armed and should not be approached. Investigators are not saying anything else about the shooting. They are not saying how Taylor knew Moore or why the shooting happened.
