BOISE -- Boise Police discovered a small pipe bomb in a Boise residence on Friday afternoon.
Authorities were conducting a follow-up investigation at an apartment in the 1600 block of Taggart Street with a known associate of Bruce Loggins, who earlier this week led police on a brief high speed chase and was eventually arrested with several pipe bombs in his possession, when they made the startling discovery.
The apartment building was evacuated and neighbors were advised to stay indoors while police and federal agents investigated.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal bomb robot was deployed and the bomb was safely detonated without incident.
Boise PD says the residents of the apartment cooperated and will not be charged.
