NAMPA -- Nampa Police say what they thought was a meth lab near an elementary school is indeed just that.

On Wednesday, police went to a duplex near Central Elementary School to check out an injured man.

At that time they said they also found a possible meth lab.

Today, they've confirmed they have found products consistent with those used to make meth in the back apartment.

Police were originally responding to a call about a man covered in blood.

"I saw him as they were putting him in the ambulance there was dried blood on his pants he just kind of looked meth'd up. We asked what was going on because he was bleeding pretty bad they did there is a biohazard and I had to evacuate. They couldn’t even move the ambulance until they found out what the bio hazard was." said a neighbor.

This neighbor wanted to remain anonymous.

Police say the man covered in blood is 25 years old and he is still in the hospital under police watch.

As officers searched the man's home they came across chemicals and equipment consistent with a meth lab.

Neighbors were evacuated most of Wednesday, but were allowed back late last night.

We asked the neighbor what he thought about all this activity.

"It's scary a lot of people are moving out of houses here, it’s getting to be an empty neighborhood anyway.  Like I said he is very quiet, you don't know something like that is going on it's scary," said a neighbor.

At this time no charges have been filed, the case is still under investigation.
