BOISE -- A naked man who claimed to be a crime scene investigator was arrested Monday afternoon after trying to wrap himself in a tarp and refusing to cooperate with police.
Boise Police were called to a vacant lot on the 2600 block of North 26th Street around 2:19 p.m.
A witness told dispatchers that a naked man was wrestling with a plastic tarp at that location. When officers arrived they found Jason M. Rose, 32, of Boise, behind the tarp.
Rose made several confusing statements to officers, including identifying himself as a police employee and crime scene investigator. He is not according to police.
Officers arrested Rose for public nudity and he was told to put his hands behind his back. He refused and got into a struggle with police. Once in handcuffs, police put a blanket around Rose.
A backpack and pair of shoes belonging to Rose was found at the scene, but no clothes.
Rose was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of some scrapes and released. He was then booked into the Ada County Jail.
He is charged with public nudity and resisting and obstructing officers. Both are misdemeanor offenses.
