Missing man's car discovered south of Twin Falls

BOISE -- Twin Falls County Sheriff Department reports they discovered the car of the missing man from Grand View Tuesday morning. The car was found stuck in a snow bank on Shoshone Basin Road between Twin Falls and Jackpot.

Twin Falls authorities say there were no signs of anything suspicious surrounding the car belonging to Ted Thomason the 66-year-old man missing for nearly a week.  The also report that because of recent weather they were unable to locate any footprints leading away from his white 1996 Ford pickup with Idaho license plate 203753T

The Owyhee County Sheriff has also been searching for Thomason for nearly a week.

Thomason was believed to be driving to Mountain Home.  He was traveling with his dog, a blue heeler hound.

Thomason may be suffering from dementia and may appear confused.

He is described as a white male, 66, balding, 5-foot-6, with blue eyes and weighing around 225 pounds.

Anyone who has seen Thomason or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call the Owyhee County Sheriff at 208-495-1154.
