TWIN FALLS -- A former Kimberly Middle School custodian has been sentenced to four years on probation for placing a "love letter" in the locker of a 12-year-old girl.

William A. Palmer was sentenced Tuesday in 5th District Court.  The sentence includes the possibility of a nine-year prison term if he fails to meet the terms of his probation.

Palmer, who is 45, pleaded guilty to felony injury to a child.

When he was arrested in April 2010, he was charged with sexual abuse of a minor under 16.
