BOISE -- There was a great turnout for the fundraiser for the Barbacoa Employee Fund Friday night.
The owner of China Blue, Ted Challenger, spearheaded the fundraiser.
He invited the Barbacoa staff to come to China Blue and serve Barabacoa's signature drinks and food. The cost was $20 at the door.
Lots of people turned out to support the 120 employees, many who are now without jobs because of the fire that devastated the restaurant right after New Year's.
The event brought in $25,000 dollars to help out the employees.
All the money will go to a fund to help them pay their bills while the restaurant is being rebuilt.
The target date for reopening Barbacoa is November 1.
