MERIDIAN, Idaho -- A woman is behind bars, arrested in connection with a hit and run accident that sent a 13-year-old boy to the hospital Wednesday.
The boy was riding his bike at about 5:30 p.m. on Linder Road just north of Franklin Road in Meridian when he was hit by a white passenger car.
Police say the person who hit the boy left the scene before officers arrived.
Meridian police were searching for a car that was missing the passenger side rearview mirror, which was sheared off in the accident.
They say they located the vehicle and arrested Kristin Thiel, 22, of Meridian, shortly before 10 p.m. She also goes by the alias of Kristin Long.
Thiel is charged with a felony count of leaving the scene of an accident.
The boy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
