NAMPA -- Nampa firefighters rescued a dog today that had gotten stuck in a creek and was barely alive.
The rescue happened Friday morning in Mason Creek, north of Birch Lane between Franklin Road and Madison Avenue.
Firefighters had to get in the creek and carry the dog up to the bank.
Neighbors who called for help had towels standing by to help dry the dog, but he was so tired and exhausted he could barely move.
The emergency responders say they don't think the dog would have made it much longer out in the water.
He's been evaluated by vets at the Canyon County Animal Shelter.
It's not known where the dog lives or who his owners are, but right now his rescuers are calling him, "Lucky."
