NAMPA -- Hours of searching, wondering and worrying about a Nampa Police dog that got loose last night are over.
Augie, a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois, escaped from an officer's home and officers looked for him until it got too dark in the area of Can-Ada and Ustick roads.
The Nampa Police Department put out a call for help this morning, but it's no longer necessary.
Nampa Police Sgt. Tim Randall told us that someone found Augie last night, brought the dog inside, and posted a "found dog" notice on Craigslist.
Someone who saw that notice recognized the dog and called the police department.
Randall told us Augie is doing just fine.
