CANYON COUNTY -- Two children are dead after a manure truck collided with a passenger car at a Caldwell intersection late this afternoon, according to Idaho State Police.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Old Highway 30 and Farmway Road around 4:20 p.m.

Police tells us a white sedan with three siblings was southbound on Farmway Road when it came to the intersection. It is unclear if the car stopped at a stop sign. The car entered the intersection and was struck on the driver's side by a manure truck headed west on Old Highway 30.

The three siblings in the car ranged in ages from 6 to 17. Police say the 17-year-old driver and another passenger died at the scene. Another passenger was flown by helicopter to a Boise hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the manure truck was not hurt.

In addition to state police, Canyon County Sheriff's deputies, paramedics and firefighters all responded.

The intersection remains closed while police continue to investigate.
