WATCH: Project Inspire: End ALS

Join KREM 2 and Team Gleason on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. for an inspiring special as we fight for an end to ALS.

Three letters – ALS – represent a disease that forces patients to slowly fade away. The three letters drive hundreds of headlines, a world-wide challenge and demand action.

Spokane native, former NFL star and current ALS patient Steve Gleason has inspired thousands to fight for a cure to ALS. His strength has helped start a movement to wipe out the disease.

Noah Cooper, KREM 2’s News Director, raced in the August 2016 Ironman Coeur d’Alene triathlon to raise money for Gleason’s foundation and to raise awareness about ALS.   An Ironman race involves a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run.

KREM 2’s Jane McCarthy showcased the courageous stories of local ALS patients and Noah's 140.6 mile race to make a difference in the Sept. 7 "Project Inspire: End ALS" special. The special will air again on KSKN on Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. and Sept 25 at 8 p.m.

You can still donate to Noah’s fundraising efforts for Team Gleason through Sept. 21. Click here to donate.

No White Flags.
