Recalls announced for Lunchables and Nestle Drumsticks

GLENDALE, Calif. -- Two unrelated snack food recalls were announced over the weekend: Some Nestle Drumsticks have been recalled due to listeria contamination, and some Lunchables have been recalled due to undeclared allergens

Nestle Drumstick recall:

The Nestle Corporation has recalled some of it's Drumstick Club 16-count variety packs and 24-count vanilla packs after a positive listeria test.

The FDA says equipment on the production line tested positive for listeria. The FDA reports that this is a precautionary recall, and no actual cones have tested positive for listeria, and no illnesses have been reported.

The recall is limited to the packs listed above, made at the company's Bakersfiled, Calif. facility. The recalled packs carry distinct UPC codes, as well as best before dates and production codes.

The recalled product codes can be found on the FDA's website.

If you have purchased the recalled products, you should not consume them, and should return them to the place of purchase for refund or replacement.

Lunchables recall:

Kraft Heinz has recalled 959 pounds of ready-to-eat Lunchables Ham and American Cracker Stackers due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

The product contains wheat and soy, which are not declared on the product label.

Items involved in the recall are as follows:

  • The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 537K” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
  • The problem was discovered Oct. 6, 2016, when the firm received a consumer complaint. There were no illnesses associated with the complaint.

Consumers who have purchased this product are urged not to consume it. This product should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
