Goat patrol adds four new 'weed warriors'

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- The Washington State Department of Transportation has four new kid employees -- baby goats!

Frankincense, Myrrh, Gold and Sprig were born Tuesday, Dec. 20.

The goats are part of the weed abatement program and will eat their way through invasive weeds next summer along state highways in Clark County .

With the newest additions, WSDOT now has 21 goats that will graze throughout the area. Goats can often be better than mechanical lawn mowers in areas that are steep, hard to reach or are fenced in.
