Springsteen, Wonder and others celebrate Rock Hall

Posted on October 30, 2009 at 6:04 AM

NEW YORK (AP) — Bruce Springsteen sang Billy Joel tunes, Bonnie Raitt rocked out with Crosby, Stills and Nash, and Stevie Wonder gave a tearful tribute to Michael Jackson.

Those were among the highlights Thursday at the first of two concerts celebrating the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 25th anniversary.

Thursday's concert at Madison Square Garden ran more than five hours and featured unique collaborations and classic hits. Wonder started sobbing when he performed Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel."

The second concert on Friday is slated to feature U2, Metallica, and Aretha Franklin, among others.
