POCATELLO, Idaho -- Board members with the Pocatello-Chubbuck school district in eastern Idaho have approved a 6.9 percent cut to administrative salaries.
District 25 officials approved the cut on Saturday at an executive session lasting more than two hours.
Idaho lawmakers earlier this year trimmed the state's public schools budget by 7.5 percent.
That adds up to about $4 million for District 25.
Lawmakers also warned of a possible 5.5 percent holdback later this year. If that happens, District 25 would face a total shortfall of nearly $7 million next school year.
