The focus in education used to be kids from kindergarten through high school, but trends show that attention is moving to a cradle-to-college model.
Research shows more than half of Washington's children are not ready to succeed when they enter kindergarten. Our state ranks 46th in the U.S. for odds of kids going to college by the age of 19, and 67 percent of Washington jobs will require postsecondary degrees by the year 2018.
