Papa Haydn in NW Portland robbed at gunpoint

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Two masked men robbed the Papa Haydn restaurant at gunpoint late Sunday night, according to Portland police.

Officers were dispatched just before midnight to the eatery at 701 NW 23rd Avenue. The caller said two masked men robbed the restaurant at gunpoint and fled, police said.

Arriving officers were told one of the masked men had a gun. They got an undisclosed amount of money and left the restaurant without incident.

The man with the gun was described as 5-foot-5 with a medium build, wearing a dark-colored T-shirt, light-colored jeans and Halloween-style mask. His race was unknown.

The second suspect was a white man in his 30s, about 5-8, medium build, neutral-colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and a similar mask.
