Home, car hit by gunfire in Northeast Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – A Northeast Portland home and a parked vehicle were hit by gunfire Thursday night.

Shots fired in the 6200 block of Northeast Simpson Street was reported at around 8:50 p.m.

Responding officers found evidence of gunfire and learned at least one home and a vehicle were struck. There were no victims at the scene or area hospitals, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson of Portland police.

Investigators believe someone in a silver sedan fired multiple gunshots, then sped out of the area.

The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating.
