A Boise man has been sentenced to nearly nine years in prison for distributing meth.
In April 2015, police say Quentin Padilla of Boise sold more than 31 grams of meth to a "confidential human source."
Days later, Padilla was involved in a high-speed chase with officers.
After the pursuit ended, people contacted police about abandoned firearms and ammunition near the area Padilla had been driving.
Police say they found several firearms, including an AK-47.
Investigators say Padilla is a known gang member.
After his release, he will be placed on five years of supervised released.
