IKEA is voluntarily recalling clear glass mugs that pose a laceration hazard to users.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the inner walls of the double-walled glasses can break during use.  Some 13,000 mugs were sold in the U.S., 3,000 in Canada and an unspecified number in other countries.

THE CPSC says there has been one U.S. report of a person being cut by the broken glass and required medical attention. There have been 11 additional incidents reported outside of the U.S., resulting in four reports of injuries.

The RUND clear glass mugs are made in China and are sold in sizes 4cl, 21cl and 40cl. They have the words "Hand Made Quality" printed on a small transparent sticker on the side of the mug. The mugs were sold in 2-packs. They cost between $5 and $10.

Article and supplier numbers included in the recall are:

Article Number
Supplier Number

They were sold exclusively at IKEA stores nationwide from October, 2009 through March, 2010.

Consumers should immediately stop using the RUND mugs and bring them back to any IKEA store for a full refund.
