NEW YORK (AP) — Nielsen says football, talent shows and comedy meant a winning hand for NBC in the ratings last week.

New NBC sitcoms "Go On," ''The New Normal" and "Guys With Kids" had strong premieres.

Multiple airings of NBC's "The Voice and "America's Got Talent" claimed several slots in the Top 10, and NBC's coverage of the football clash between Detroit and San Francisco was the week's most-watched telecast, seen by 21 million viewers.

CBS' "60 Minutes," ranked No. 3, was the only non-NBC show in the Top 10.

Overall, NBC averaged 9 million viewers in prime time, far ahead of runner-up CBS as well as Fox, ABC and the CW.

Adding to NBC's glad tidings, its "Nightly News" topped the evening newscasts, with an average of more than 8 million viewers.
