The 13th annual Scales of Justice Bass Fishing tournament is returning to C.J. Strike Reservoir on Sunday September 18. This is a different type of tournament that started when Judge Jon Vehlow had an offender in his courtroom and wanted him to complete his probation. He told the young man if he would just complete his probation he would take him fishing. The young man did and the judge realized Bass Fishermen are great mentors. The program has grown with several other counties participating and more boats and fishermen are needed. If you would like to reach out and be a temporary mentor to young people and have a boat then call Ada County Juvenile Court at (208) 577-4865.
