The White House was in lockdown for about an hour Tuesday after a car drove into a restricted area on Pennsylvania Avenue.

The Secret Service cleared Pennsylvania Avenue and moved press into the briefing room as part of regular security protocol while officials checked out the car.

According to Breaking News, Secret Service officials said a car tried to follow a motorcade carrying Obama's daughters into the White House secure vehicle grounds. Unconfirmed news reports said one man was arrested.
