PORTLAND -- A man in Southeast Portland has a big cleanup job ahead of him after Sunday night’s storm.
Henry Linebaugh said high winds knocked down a giant tree into his house on Hazel Avenue. He said he heard a creaking noise following by a loud bang. He hasn’t slept since the tree landed on his roof.
Linebaugh isn’t sure how much damage is done but is happy his home is still standing.
“I’m proud of this old house,” he said. “A plastic house like that over there wouldn’t have stood.”
Linebaugh said he plans to use a tow truck to pull the tree off his house.
